Who We Are

The Ignite Durham Learning Foundation is a charitable organization committed to removing financial barriers for individuals so every student in the Durham District School Board can thrive.

From providing school supplies, to enabling access to programs such as clubs, events, and post-secondary registration, we work alongside educators and communities to ensure all students have the tools they need to succeed, no matter if it is inside, and/or outside the classroom.

Our vision: "Tomorrows made Brighter"

What We do

Sometimes, it’s not a student's ability that holds them back, it’s what’s missing outside the classroom.

The IDLF recognizes this and breaks down the barriers that stand in the way of a student's success. Whether they are at home or in school we make it our goal to ensure every child feels supported, included, confident and ready to learn.

We do this through FIVE core pillars, each focused on meeting the most pressing needs students face every day.

Curious about how each pillar changes lives?
